Low pressure tracking north of the state will lift a warm front through this morning followed by a cold front Sunday. Heating of the day, increasing moisture and instability will lead to late afternoon and evening storms. A lot will depend on if we can get some sunshine to break through the clouds later today. Most of the Valley is outlooked in a Slight Risk, meaning scattered severe storms are possible.
It is hotter around 90. You’ll notice the muggy feel too. A few strong to severe storms are possible in the afternoon and a cold front comes through the Valley. We are outlooked again for severe weather. Tornadoes are not a threat, but damaging winds is the primary concern. It is also an Impact Day because of the severe threat. Locally heavy rainfall and hail are lower threats. Much more comfortable conditions return Monday.
