Evening storms around Denver metro; more storms Friday

DENVER — It's been a busy afternoon with severe storms across parts of the Denver metro area and northeastern plains. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 7pm for Weld County and areas northeast along I-76.

We'll have some sunshine midday on Friday as temperatures climb into the mid 80s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms return by the late afternoon and continue into the evening. A few cells could turn severe, bringing large hail and damaging 60+ mph wind gusts.
