WASHINGTON — The conservative House Freedom Caucus is calling for the removal of Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois from the Republican caucus, an effort to punish the pair for joining the committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy initially named five additional Republicans to join the committee, but when Pelosi rejected two of them because of their past remarks, McCarthy withdraw all his picks, leaving only Cheney and Kinzinger. In Congress, a party caucus or conference serves as the official arm of the party and organizes lawmakers' committees, leadership and other important roles.
These people were voted in by their state and McCarty has no right to remove them. The people in their state need to protest this.

Efforts to punish Reps Cheney & Kinzinger show that the GOP knows DT was (and still is) lying about the election, that his actions and rhetoric are criminal acts, instigating people to overthrow a clean, legal election is treason, is sedition. DT will sink the GOP.

Let’s hope that what happened on January 6 in Washington will at least stop the obscenity of the US sending observers to elections in other countries to judge their fairness – now the US elections themselves need foreign observers. The US is a rogue country.

This is properly described as aiding known terrorists. It disqualifies them from serving in Congress according to the 14th Amendment.
