CLEVELAND, Ohio - A Richfield man who led police on a pursuit with a kidnapped Maple Heights police officer in his car, is scheduled to be sentenced in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Monday.
According to Maple Heights police, officers were sent to Raymond Street at the intersection of Northfield Road for a report of an unresponsive man slumped over the wheel of a running SUV.Miller then woke up while the officer was between the front passenger door and the door frame, and turned the car back on, said police.
The officer tried to take the keys out of the ignition, but Miller put the car into gear and drove away with the officer still inside.
