I agree w them

This dies the Republican vision of an independent contractor slave economy.

This is a side hustle job ( Lyft Uber)and not a career. What is California doing?🤔

This is all moot when both companies become autonomous and need no drivers

They have teams of experts ready to come up with an alternative plan(s). They can’t just pack and go, they do all it takes to stay w current business model tho. CA is one of their biggest target, if it becomes a law in CA, will most likely and gradually be everywhere else too

This is BS. This is a voluntary arrangement.

Welp, so much for cheap rides.

Uber & Lyft drivers are not 'consultants', 'free agents' or 'business owners' -- there is no other business than Uber of Lyft business. Drivers cannot exist as business without Uber or Lyft and Uber & Lyft cannot exist without the drivers. That means that drivers are employees.

Here’s an idea: take some of uberlyft’s highly-paid talented staff and task them with creating a substantive plan for phasing in the appropriate changes. Don’t dodge, don’t look for loopholes, don’t leave the state, don’t invest more in challenges. Be business people and adapt.
