This is a test for both of them. The Congress has been so divided that this is essentially new territory. AOC definitely has no experience compromising. If she can do something with SenTedCruz , she will earn some respect from me.
AOC maybe you can get Ted to host even one town hall for Texans? He flat out refuses (since 2013), but he makes exclusive telephone town halls for campaign contributors.
They aren’t allies...they just found one specific issue they could agree on and they put all their other differences aside. We need more of this but the media and politicians are such instigators that they trap themselves into not being able to work with people act the aisle.
