A new study has called into question the long-held belief that women outlive men.

Life expectancies – which summarise the average length of life – are a “simplistic measure” which are often interpreted as meaning that “men do not live as long as women”, researchers said.

A better measure could be to examine the lifespan of men and women across different countries, they said. The analysis concluded that men have a high probability of outliving women — especially those who are married and have a degree. Top Health Stories Today “A blind interpretation of life expectancy differences can sometimes lead to a distorted perception of the actual inequalities [in lifespan],” the authors wrote.

Water and women to the fore in the Navajo Nation’s electionMany voters mention their anger at how many Navajo households still must transport water to their homes by truck, despite previous administrations’ promises to solve the issue And just yesterday the death of the Navajo WWII hero gave rise to so many appreciative comments about these brave people. Sure. As substantive as thoughts and prayers.💔💔💔 Having seen families filling containers with water from spigots just this summer while driving through a reservation - I was shocked. Our government must do better. A sad state of affairs. No one in this country should have to live this way.
