An SNP councillor has been reported to the Crown Office after he was accused of stealing from a police station.
The convener of the council’s housing committee works for Police Scotland and is also employed part-time by Coatbridge and Chryston MSP Fulton MacGregor. Stubbs told The Times: "I don’t know what the allegations are that you’re talking about. To be honest my work life and my public life are very separate.
"I can tell you categorically I am currently sitting with my uniform on. I am not currently suspended."
