A WOMAN who lost half her body weight is fundraising to have more than a stone of excess skin removed from her stomach after the NHS refused to carry out the operation.
But the 10st victory was bittersweet for Steph, from Burntwood, Staffordshire, as she was left with saggy skin hanging from around her middle that she says makes noises when she moves. Steph, a part-time community worker, said: "I wanted to lose weight to enjoy life, clothes and being active instead of wishing or watching other people enjoying themselves.
Steph weighed 21 stone at her heaviest and had been morbidly obese for years before starting her weight loss journey"My partner loves me regardless, but he says I'm not the same person and that I'm more reserved now that I've lost weight. I'm more insecure.
