Analysis: Jobs market is booming, but Bank of England seems set to heap more pain on households

. While total pay including bonuses edged up 0.4 percentage points to 4.2% on the previous month, without bonuses pay remained static. Once inflation was taken into account wages went into reverse in real terms, declining by 0.9%, even when bonuses are included.

Higher interest rates are definitely coming... They've been way too low.. For too long.. The bosses at the bank of England took their eye of the ball.

Like the central banks in any country ever cared about households. Interest rates make money for banks and those who have enough to save. Just who is the Bank of England 'helping?'
