UK claims EU is in disarray over Brexit negotiations

A week before the first round of formal talks in Brussels, a source close to the negotiations claimed that EU countries appeared "divided" and were "distracted" by issues such as securing the return of the Elgin Marbles to Greece, rather than focusing on the "important decisions".

The EU27 decides what is important for them. Each Member State doesn't give a fuck of what the UK wants or thinks. If Greece asks that the Elgin Marbles return to Greece, ti is a major decision and red line for the EU.

The EU has 27 moving parts and within each part there are at least two moving parts. The UK has four moving parts in terms of nations and a 19th Century Party called Labour. Other countries in the EU do not seem to have a ghost like Labour though Left in purpose, generally.
