The 27 EU countries didn't agree on the size of bloc's budget or how to spend it.
UK paid less than 12% of EU budget but 45% of UK exports went to the EU. 12% cut to the EU budget would be only healthy. How healthy to both is losing nearly half of UK's exports?
I though they were ready for brexit, all except for the budget it seems. The 3 way relationship the EU enjoyed with UK Germany and France is replaced with a 2 way stalemate between old foes Germany and France, making it more difficult to come to agreement on key issues.
Can’t help it but: 👊🤣🤣🤣
Mama Merkels Legacy 😱
It was always going to happen, maybe they should have given us a better deal and listened to one of their biggest contributors to the bloc - it’s their own arrogance which caused us to leave
Merkles face is a picture she the one to blame for all this mess better if each country goes back to own rules own money own law
A very wise decision by Austria Denmark Netherlands & Sweden, They should not pay for other peoples plugs. Buy your own plugs please.
That loud sound you hear is the giant “thud” of the EU in free fall!!
The UK saved billions a year just by leaving
Strong candidates to follow Brexit.
Oh dear, the poor things!!! Shall we have a whip round for them?!!!
the EU is fucked 🤣🤣👌🇬🇧
Good! I hope we stand our ground. Don't let them bully Sweden Into paying more!
It's time for all the EU country's to follow UK, free your country, manage your own affairs?
Hopefully the beginning of the end of that bureaucratic nightmare centralized non accountable government, UN should be next
Oh no, how terrible...
Invite Russia to the party and your fees are paid without stress.
Beggars of the planet
Strange that when the TWO EU ruling states now request extra financial backing, the other 26 start to question the legitimacy of the claim and probably realise that, maybe the UK had a point after all! Will their next angle will be to squeeze cash through our trade negotiations?
But but reports was we only pay 12bn. Hmmmm
they should have told Brussels years ago that the EU didn't mean they had the right to override National laws. EU was to be a common trading groups, not a single European country. Bad luck the UK can now the money to restructure & rebuild.
Why don't we loan them some cash.
Xristos10818751 Dear British people, can you declare war and conquer The Netherlands Monday? We'll keep the beer cold, just safe us from the EU and our government.
Just cut subsidies to agrarian oligarchs and everything will be fine.
Hang on you've got a figure of £75 bn on your opening write up the below its £62 bn. That's quite a discrepancy
Good for them. Perhaps they should think about leaving also?
What a surprise!
We were told our contribution was £12bn. Now they're short €60bn?
75billion hole is a serious sink hole good luck to them🙄
Why when all Eurropean countries are playing host to migrants which is not cheap should they give to a central pot that keeps some in luxury. It is not right.
Hmm... seems that whole “redistribution of the wealth thing” has problems when the rich leave to keep their own money.
cost down since Breixt
Best of British!
Now we will see who wants to be in the EU We paid more than anyone to only be half in the EU now they are going to have to find that money somewhere else Enjoy.
😂😂😂
BorisJohnson should offer them a loan? interest £2billion year! 🤣🤣🤣
😂
and who in UK cares..............anymore brian
Politicians are clowns.
Money pit))
Now here's an idea. Let the EU reduce its budget by making cuts in projects, pay and perks that would soon balance the books.
Is money so important? Why shouldn't they grow biodiversity? Better than money!
