Comedy star Zach Galifianakis is reportedly involved in plans to recreate the infamous Glasgow Willy Wonka Experience in downtown LA. Kirsty Paterson, known for her role as a miserable Oompa Loompa, has been signed up for the event. Comedians Nathan Fielder and Galifianakis are expected to host the Los Angeles version, where attendees can step into a world of pure imagination at Willy's Chocolate Experience Los Angeles. Organizers promise a true recreation of the original event, taking place at a nondescript warehouse and offering customers just two jellybeans.

Comedy star Zach Galifianakis is said to be involved in plans to recreate the notorious event in downtown LA.

Kirsty, who flies out to California next week, told The Record: “I didn’t really expect to end up in the USA or to go as big as this because the USA is on a different level.“I’m doing a lot of meetings and a lot of networking out there. As a trained actress it’s not an impossibility that I’ll be doing movies.

“Scheduled to take place in a nondescript warehouse nestled in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, this extraordinary experience invites attendees to embark on a captivating adventure on April 28th, 2024.” Organisers claim comics Fielder and Hangover star Galifianakis are said to be lined up to take part in the event.Local music and comedy performances at the LA event will come from TIPSY, Chaki Funk Wizard, a DJ set by Mabson, plus Clowns of Color and an immersive Tiny Cinema installation screening silent films.

In addition to the Los Angeles event, Kirsty has meetings with Hollywood movie moguls lined up before heading to New York.
