Sky Sports and the SPFL have announced their TV picks for the festive run of fixtures in the Scottish Premiership - and it's a Christmas Eve date for Rangers to contend with.
There were four Scottish Premiership fixtures the day before Christmas last season, which included Celtic beating St Johnstone 4-1 - but this season, the festivities fall on the 23rd for five of the six top-flight games. The Hoops will host Livingston at Parkhead on the 23rd, though it is Rangers’ turn to be playing the day before Christmas this time around as they travel to Fir Park in the hope of landing an extra gift for their fans.
Across the month of December and the early run of January, top-flight chiefs and Sky have agreed to air five games as supporters anticipate a huge month in Scottish football - with all fixtures including one of the Old Firm duo, all away from home.
