The victim has not yet been identified though he is believed to be 'older than 40' and has 'only been dead for a matter of days', officers said. Tests later confirmed the item was human remains, understood to be part of a torso. Police said it was 'not possible for the victim to have survived' so a murder probe was launched by the Major Incident Team.
