Rangers land windfall as Malik Tillman joins PSV from Bayern permanently

The former Light Blues attacker has been a top performer for the Dutch giants this season with nine goals and 15 assists in his first season. That form has won him a full-time switch to the Eredivisie on a four-year contract that runs until 2028 and that is great news for the Ibrox side because of their agreement with the German giants last summer.

Rangers were keen to pursue the option to buy clause they had with the Bundesliga big hitters before they bought out the agreement. They paid £1million as well as promising to pay up to ten per cent of any future sale. As we told back in March, Rangers would net from any sale and with a reported £12million agreement in place between the two clubs now gone through, that means around £1.

On his full-time move, he told the PSV website: “I am very happy that I will stay at PSV longer. The first season has been great and I hope that we will win many more trophies in the coming years. That gives me the confidence that I am in the right place here and that I can develop into an even better footballer.”

Head coach Peter Bosz added:. “I am very happy that he is staying. He is only 21-years-old, but has already taken so many steps in his development this year. That is nice to see and I am curious to see how he will continue to develop.”
