Major Rangers injury boost as key player teases return

Rangers striker Danilo has teased a return to action in a major injury boost.Brazilian forward Danilo had to undergo surgery to correct the issue with Philippe Clement warning he would be out until the final weeks of the season.The snap - shared on his personal Instagram account - appeared to be taken at the Rangers Training Centre.

It's unclear whether Danilo is simply returning to the grass for individual training to ramp up his fitness or whether he is in full contact training with his team-mates. The major step forward in his injury recovery comes after Danilo shared footage of himself walking unaided back in January.The striker was, understandably, somewhat uncomfortable in his movement after stopping using the crutches but three months on and he appears ready for a return to the grass.

Discussing the injury blow at the time, Clement said: "It was an unlucky situation, it's part of football.
