10% of COVID-19 patients who lose sense of taste or smell may NOT get it back within a month, study finds

Data gathered by the organisation ENT UK, which represents ear, nose and throat specialists, suggests the inability to smell — and often taste — may be the very first symptom of COVID-19 and start within hours of infection.

Went to the Drs last week with really bad wind. Didnt mind so much because silent & no smell. Dr asked if I'd had Covid symptoms in the last month. Shocked, I asked if it caused bad trumps. He said No, but it would explain why I couldnt smell the dead rat ether that i'd excreted!

A friend in this situation hasn’t got taste back two months the after symptoms start!
