Sunday's papers include reports the first at-home Covid treatment could be offered before Christmas.

The Sunday Telegraph says the first at-home Covid treatment will be offered to patients by Christmas. According to the paper, Health Secretary Sajid Javid is preparing to announce the beginning of a national pilot of Lagevrio, also known as molnupiravir. Under plans, courses of the tablet could be delivered to clinically vulnerable and immunosuppressed patients within 48 hours of a positive Covid test, the paper adds.

Medics have expressed their anger at being unable to treat seriously ill patients, the Sunday Times reports, as 90% of coronavirus patients requiring the most specialist care are unvaccinated. The paper shares warnings from doctors that some transplant operations are not going ahead and that complex cancer surgeries are being delayed.Meanwhile, the Sunday People leads with Paula Hudgell's campaign for a child abuse register following the death of six-year-old Arthur Labinjo-Hughes.

How could anyone in Scotland want to be part of a UK when this is your Home Secretary?! UK is a third world country, & it's time Scotland left BBCScotlandNews STVNews itvnews Channel4News LBCNews MetroScotland Sunday_Mail sunday_post

Lots of people were travelling all over the UK for Christmas last year, some of the critics need to look at how loved ones caught covid in the first place instead of moaning about a small party.

Some people died because they did not take precautions...some people died because the were infected by others...No one died because No 10 had a Christmas Party ..How ever some died because they went to a Christmas Party & NOT No 10s...

Maybe the inquiry into Arthur's death should include BorisJohnson and real term cuts to social services budgets; funding for LAs and increased caseloads for social workers? Cuts to GP and police numbers also impacts on their ability to spend time on cases? ArthurYarde2 r4today

If as they suggest, all guidance was followed with number 10s Christmas party. Maybe the government should payback those students lockdown Christmas party fines.

Greatttt now we gotta watch what we intake like vitamins and all or else it might have that vaccine pill shit in it thanks..I hate governments.. it’s a lot like religion..just there to stray people away from truth and divide the people who are different
