Melton Road traffic updates live as fallen tree causes West Bridgford road closure

as a fallen tree causes several buses to divert. Traffic monitoring site Inrix says the A606 Melton Road is closed in both directions from Boundary Road to Mowbray Gardens.leading up to the Wheatcroft Island roundabout. Nottingham City Transport first shared news of the incident at 8.20am on Monday , telling passengers that the Green 5 bus was unable to serve Melton Road or Gardens.

Trentbarton is also experiencing delays of up to 20 minutes on the Keyworth service, which is unable to serve stops at the Methodist Church, Melton Road Shops, Exeter Road, Mellors Road, Dovedale Road, Valley Road and Firs Road. The incident comes amid a yellow weather warning for strong winds, with the Met Office predicting that disruption will last until 10pm this evening.

The weather warning covers the entirety of Nottinghamshire, as well as much of the south and Midlands. We will update this live blog with more information as we get it.
