There was horror on the streets of Greater Manchester on Wednesday afternoon after an 18-year-old boy was viciously knifed in an Aldi car park. The teenage victim was left seriously injured after being stabbed, with huge manhunt launched to trace the attacker.
Emergency services were called to reports of the stabbing shortly after 2pm. The car park was cordoned off with forensics scouring the scene for evidence.The teenage victim, an 18-year-old male, was rushed to hospital from the scene with serious injuries. They are not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A further cordon was erected on Second Avenue in Limeside, with an air ambulance also scrambled to the scene and landing in a nearby park. Residents were left horrified - but not surprised - by the major police presence. One homeowner described the incident as 'shocking' but admitted they had stopped letting their kids play outside "because of violent crime in the area".
