This is just so sad and wrong. We live in a secular society and the first defence against prejudice is education. This just proves that these kids need that education - they’re clearly not being taught to respect differences at home...just so sad and so wrong.
Parents should have the choice of whether or not to pull their kids out of those lessons. Although they can’t stop “playground talk” on the issue.....

When those protestors are spoken to they say they are not homophobic but are protesting about story books that just have gay couples & families. It is not about sex education they are protesting that gay people exist. This is unacceptable radical homophobia. equaltiesact

How would their society like to be not tolerated. To make threats to a professional person doing their job, needs to be dealt with by the laws of this land.

Anyone suggesting the problem is Islam should have tried coming out as gay 30 years ago. It wasn't people throwing eggs you had to contend with. It was the threat of legal sanction via homophobic legislation and the skinhead thugs who were definitely white 'Christians' IIRC.
This headteacher is doing her job. It’s called professional inclusivity, diversity and celebration. Something the UK still has. We must protect our hard work as a fair nation and be proud of our progress. If certain groups cannot respect our laws they are free to move elsewhere.

The headteacher has been sold down the river. The politically correct authorities are pushing this, so she is damned if she does and damned if she doesn't. If she sides with the parents, as she should - their children, not the state's - her school will be downgraded by Ofsted.
LGBT lessons ? I doubt very much its that , pointing out to children that gay couples are an accepted part of society in the modern world can only be a positive move. If the curriculum in our schools offends you then you can make a choice to move to where bigoted views suit you.

It is sad times like this where the need for a more inclusive LGBT flag become clear - the difficulty faced by many in the LGBT community is far higher than that which is experienced by others. These lessons are about proving that it is okay to be gay. Full stop.

Only my opinion. Whereas I am not sure the age group is right, I do think that tolerance is a good thing to teach, as some parents do not clearly, due to their own beliefs. I also feel that, these protesters need to be educated themselves. Obviously only my opinion.

This is strange because many schools have been teaching tolerance to LGBT people for years. I think there must be a communication problem because people seem to think this means teaching kids about the physical relationship- it doesn't.
