A rambling blogpost by Boris Johnson’s chief adviser, Dominic Cummings, calling for “weirdos and misfits with odd skills” to apply for jobs within No 10 may fall foul of employment law, experts have suggested.
Of course employment law surrounding contract recruitment and dismissal doesn’t sit easy with his ‘funky’ advert. But it’s irrelevant as any mass appointments and security checks will stop him in any event. But the advert got the coverage it wanted so job done
“Hey, hey, my my, Rock and Roll will never die”.
ASKPERGERS Then they will simply ignore or repeal it. It's what the country voted for after all ToryBritain
Didn't the ad actually say 'Out of coke...need runner...Obviously can't ask Royal Protection squad...or usual sources in banking.......must be discreet...and dress like me at all times......other responsibilities - liaise with former Cambridge Analytica black ops guys.... !'
Add might have added...'Running out of coke...... we needs a full time runner.....got to be able to supply Boris, self and two other Closet Cabinet snorters...... and check nostril gaps don't widen too quickly... ? !' ...obviously can't ask Royal Protection squad..or Bof E..?
Yes but I thought he was above the law!
I suspect the permanently offended woke brigade are sending in their complaints as we speak
And this man is Boris Johnson’s chief advisor.. o.....m......g (come to think of it, why does a ‘Prime Minister’ need an advisor anyway, who’s running this country)
The modus operandi of the Tory Party is to undermine Workers’ rights, so no surprise
Illiterate subs might break the English language.
Nous rendons gloire à Dieu. Que Dieu bénisse votre union.
👆Hey, , I DOMINICUS CUMMINGSLINGUS, am above the LAW! I have taken back control...into my junta! 👹
Goebbels in a grey hat
Get used to him and Johnson rewriting and creating new law with their stonking large majority.
This is a photo of Cyril Fletcher from Thats Life though, innit? The Odd Ode fella?
Of course, imagine if ordinary or interesting people gained power?
They’ll probably just change the law then?
Well he is a weirdo himself, the real Prime Minister seems to be in the driving seat
Another law needs changing then
El86562179 Who is this unelected jerk?
More lefty shite
jpublik Our Magnificent Rulers are not subject to any of these so called ‘laws’ - come on, keep up
The Guardian really is full of Kens isnt it.
Really? Really? Is this the best your 'serious' journalists can come up with? No wonder no one reads your paper anymore. What has happened to 'real journalism'?
What about the London Mayor advert for black people only...or don't you cover this demographic...?
And yet the bbc telling whites not to apply is perfectly fine? Sure bro.
peterjukes Honey badger doesn't care seems apposite.
More attempted Brexit frustration from the democracy deniers.
Incorrect!
But BBC excluding everyone except BAME candidates is fine?
Triggering a certain section of society comes so easy to Dominic Cummings.
‘outrageous’ blogpost😂 Get bent.
The Civil Service has very specific open competition rules. It sometimes damages it, but it has to be fair, open and honest with money that comes from tax. The 'age' thing may be the least of the problems here.
If it does break employment law then this just shows how lacking in sense Employment law is!
Does anyone else think he's too scruffy to be taken seriously? Does he usually present himself to the media like that?
No. It definitely does!
drpaulitious We're still in the EU and it just needs a lawyer to look at GDPR compliance.
I suggest you read the blog if you want: a) A terrifying insight into our future b) A good laugh at someone obsessed with appearing 'smart'. Cumming's intellect is credible only because he is surrounded by people of such stunning stupidity
John Bowers WC “surprised the Cabinet Secretary let this go out”. Clearly he wouldn’t have if he was still in charge, but Cummings’ status by-passes civil service rules and he won’t worry about little things like that.
The puppet master.
Check the date m8, you can flout EU Empoyment laws after Brexit, afterall that is one of the reasons for leaving? We cant have the EU dictating the fair treatment of employees, can we?
They can fix that then
That's the whole point of it. The creepy wee git is role modelling his idea of our 'future'. One where there the rules are made by him - and there's no such thing as 'employment law'.
Also, it may not! How is that a worthwhile comment?
Vote Leave misfits like breaking the law.
The first law of Domworld is that there are no laws. domworld
Just as well this government are likely to overhaul employment law too, eh.
Id say Dominic's au fait with law breaking
Haha why would anyone imagine that his man cares about ‘law’?
'employment law' will soon be a vintage concept
I don’t think the law is especially important to Dominic Cummings.
Imagine running a newspaper and being this much of a crybaby
