New satellite images show fall in air pollution over urban areas in several European cities.

Air pollution has decreased in urban areas across Europe, as cities continue to be locked down to prevent widespread outbreaks of the coronavirus.

The images, released by the European Space Agency, show the changing density of nitrogen dioxide, a harmful gas emitted when fossil fuels are burnt at high temperatures, most commonly at power plants and in motor vehicles.Air pollution data obtained before and after Spain was locked down. Dohhhh! Well it will do when no buggers working and driving, who actually thinks this stuff up?

Well, at least something good is happening

So it’s human activity that causes air pollution.

Hopefully across the world

If all human kinds stop major activities for one month every year, we would have a wonderful world in no long future.

Greenpeace will be happy then

Albert Camus novel The Plague leads surge of pestilence fictionAuthor’s daughter explains 1947’s book’s renewed appeal during coronavirus lockdown No shit. I'm reading it right now. Great book. I'd also recommend World War Z. It's got zombies, but it's also a really interesting, documentary style take on pandemics. Excellent book. I read it while waiting many hours for a train in Oujda on the Moroccan/Algeria border - perfect setting. Huge station but only had 2-3 trains a day. greatbooks Camus
