A52: Serious crash shut road for six hours between A46 and A1

The A52 was closed between the A46 and A1 this morning . Pictured is a file view of the road from the Saxondale Roundabout.The incident was first reported by Highways East Midlands just before 2am this morning. The road remained closed until just before 8am this morning.

In its latest update on X, formerly Twitter, a spokesperson for Highways East Midlands posted just after 5.35am to say: "The A52 remains closed in both directions between the A46 and A1 . @lincsPolice are on scene carrying out collision investigation, the road is expected to remain closed into the morning."Traffic is now easing on the A52 following the earlier serious collision.
