Ineng makes landfall in Taiwan; Signal No. 2 still up in Batanes InengPH

MANILA—Tropical storm Ineng has made landfall in Pingtung county in southern Taiwan, the state weather bureau said Saturday.

PAGASA said Ineng was expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility Saturday afternoon or early evening. Occasional gusty conditions, the weather agency said, will still prevail over most of Luzon due to the southwest monsoon. Light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains, meanwhile, will be experienced over Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna, Mindoro Provinces, northern portion of Palawan , and the rest of the Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon.
