The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced that Nigeria's headline inflation rate reached 27.33% in October 2023, marking the highest inflation rate in the country since 2005.

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Nigeria ’s headline inflation rate increased to 27.33 per cent in October 2023 . The NBS disclosed this in its Consumer Price Index ( CPI ) and Inflation Report for October, which was released in Abuja on Wednesday.

According to the report, the figure, which is 0.61 per cent points higher compared to the previous month, represents the highest inflation rate recorded in Nigeria since 2005.
