The Department of State Services, DSS, has sealed off the Al-Ihsan clinic in Ungwan Rogo community in Jos North local government area of Plateau State. An allegation of quackery and reported death of a patient who received treatment at the clinic resulted in the action of the secret police, on Sunday, according to Daily Trust.

A woman reportedly died in the clinic last week following a surgery supposedly performed by one Mr Lukuma Abdul, the incident sparked reactions, with many attributing the death to the surgery, raising concern about his medical speciality. Abdul, however, denied the accusation, saying that the surgery did not lead to her death. A complaint filed by some members of the community to the state ministry of health over alleged quackery at the clinic led to the action of the DSS .

Sadis Muhammad Albasu, a community member who shared his account of the situation said, 'The primary reason for sealing the hospital is the alleged quackery activities at the clinic, which came to light after a woman’s death following a surgical procedure there. ''The issue is that Mr Lukman is not a qualified medical doctor; in fact, he is not a doctor at all, and therefore lacks the necessary qualifications to perform surgical procedures.
