Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor called on Sabah’s youths to work together to build the State in accordance with the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) direction.

He also called on members of the Sabah Youth Assembly, who were elected to represent the 73 state legislative constituencies, to continue supporting him and his colleagues in making Sabah more advanced and affluent. Hajiji said the Government he heads will continue to do what is best for the State and the people of Sabah.

“I am aware of the various issues brought up during the debate. All proposals that are prioritised will be carefully considered by the State Government, and they will either be brought up during the State Assembly sitting or discussed at the State Cabinet level,” he said. He said every issue today’s young encounter is taken seriously by the State Government, particularly the quality of life following the Covid-19 pandemic that has affected every Sabahan.

According to him, the Sabah Youth Assembly members have a great deal of responsibility for the 2023–2024 session, including developing a young leadership pipeline with the knowledge, skills and vision to work together to advance the State and the country.
