KUALA LUMPUR: Umno mengarahkan jentera parti bersiap sedia hadapi kemungkinan berlakunya pilihan raya umum, sehari selepas Agong selesai menemubual para ahli Parlimen berhubung penubuhan kerajaan baru.
Barisan Nasional, bersama PAS dan PBRS, berpendirian Parlimen harus dibubarkan dan pilihan raya diadakan bagi menyelesaikan isu itu. Setiausaha Agung Annuar Musa berkata demikian pada sidang media selepas perjumpaan Presiden Ahmad Zahid Hamidi bersama ketua-ketua bahagian parti di Pusat Dagangan Dunia Putra hari ini.
“Perjumpaan hari ini untuk membolehkan ibu pejabat keluarkan arahan persiapan untuk jentera pilihan raya di semua peringkat,” katanya.Katanya, Umno menyediakan garis panduan tentang mekanisme kerjasama dengan parti Islam itu di semua peringkat, termasuk negeri, bahagian, Dewan Undangan Negeri, dan pusat daerah mengundi.Annur menambah kenyataan media rasmi Umno dan PAS hanya akan dikeluarkan oleh presiden atau setiausaha agung masing-masing.
