MCPF senior vice-chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye said the “men in blue” sacrificed their time and energy to keep the country safe.
“Such improvements will go a long way in lifting the spirit of the police force, especially the rank and file. Lee also said Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador’s focus on strengthening the police force’s integrity was a step in the right direction. “The message by the new IGP is very clear – actions by the police must always be carried out with integrity and based on the rule of law.
Integrity is an integral fundamental requirement to selecting men in blue. I think we should increase the basic requirements to enter the force and pay appropriately. Plus a strong MACC.
