Federal Integrity and Standards Compliance Department director Comm Datuk Azri Ahmad said a post-mortem was conducted at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital in Kota Baru on Monday ."No injury or element of crime was found," he said in a statement on Tuesday ."Our department's Criminal Investigation Unit on Deaths in Custody will continue its probe before submitting its findings to the deputy public prosecutor for a decision,” he added.
It was reported on Monday that a 37-year-old man who was arrested for alleged drug offences died in police custody on Sunday .It is learnt the deceased had been arrested for offences under Sections 12 and 15 of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
