Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department director Comm Datuk Azri Ahmad said they were alerted to the death at around 4.35pm on Sunday.
"The death involved a 37-year-old man at the Pengkalan Chepa police station lock-up in Kota Baru, Kelantan. "The deceased was arrested for offences under Section 12 and Section 15 of the Dangerous Drugs Act," he said in a statement Monday ."The remand order was obtained in Kota Baru. "The JIPS Criminal Investigation Unit on Deaths in Custody will conduct an investigation into this case," he said.
