Hal demikian kerana kata Ketua Penerangan UMNO, Datuk Dr. Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, apa yang diperkatakan Daim jelas bercanggah dengan janji kepemimpinan PH semasa kempen PRU-14 yang yakin untuk menyelesaikan segala janji sebaik sahaja menang.Shamsul Anuar malah mengatakan CEP turut sama gagal berperanan dan mengemukakan formula terbaik bagi mengendalikan ekonomi negara kepada kerajaan.
“Bayangkan kalau selepas enam bulan nanti, janji-janji itu tidak dapat dilaksanakan. Apakah selepas itu PH akan meminta tempoh enam bulan lagi dan enam bulan seterusnya? Adakah rakyat akan terus ditipu? “Kepemimpinan PH sepatutnya menghormati daya intelektual rakyat kerana masyarakat sudah bijak dan boleh menilai setiap tindakan yang dilakukan kerajaan,” katanya dalam kenyataan di sini hari ini.
Ahad lalu, Daim dilaporkan berkata kerajaan PH memerlukan enam bulan lagi untuk memulihkan negara selepas mengambil alih pentadbiran Mei tahun lalu dengan perlu berdepan rakyat dan memberi penerangan tepat terutama dalam hal ekonomi agar mereka faham situasi semasa. Jelas Daim kepada pemberita selepas program Bicara Darul Iman di Kuala Terengganu, kekalahan PH dalam Pilihan Raya Kecil Dewan Undangan Negeri Rantau, Sabtu lalu juga adalah cabaran yang harus ditangani memandangkan rakyat tidak mampu bersabar dengan situasi semasa. - UTUSAN ONLINE
