KUALA TERENGGANU: Enam stesen Laluan Rel Pantai Timur bakal dibina di Terengganu, sekali gus membuktikan negeri itu tidak dipinggirkan dalam pelaksanaan projek berkenaan seperti dakwaan sesetengah pihak.
“ECRL akan lalu Terengganu…takkan nak melompat,” katanya yang berada di Terengganu bagi menghadiri program Bicara Darul Iman bertajuk Ekonomi Bumiputera:Agenda Nasional hari ini. Selain pengurangan kos, jajaran baru ECRL ialah dari Kota Bharu-Mentakab-Jelebu-Kuala Kelawang-Bangi/Kajang-Putrajaya dan seterusnya Pelabuhan Klang juga menyaksikan panjang landasan turut dikurangkan kepada 648 kilometer berbanding rancangan awal 688 kilometer.
“Kita akan melihat nanti akan banyak penglibatan usahawan besar mahupun kecil. Peluang ini akan menjadi ujian yang baik kepada usahawan di Terengganu dan seluruh pantai timur bahawa mereka berkelayakan untuk memenuhi permintaan dan bersaing,” katanya.
