State Islamic Affairs, Agriculture and Rural Development Committee chairman Tosrin Jarvanthi said that the operation, dubbed"Ops Hauzah", took place on Monday at about 11pm at a house in Taman Bukit Kempas.
"The raid was conducted by a group of 30 religious department enforcement officers with the assistance by 15 police officers, and they carried out the raid in line with the standard operation procedures . "There were 54 individuals in the premises raided, including four children between the age of two and 12," he said during a press conference at the Johor State Islamic Center in Johor Baru on Friday .
He added that only eight of those nabbed were brought in for further investigations, while the rest were released and given attendance summons. "Of the 54 individual in the house, eight are Singaporeans, one is an Indonesian and one is from Yeman," he said.
