KUALA LUMPUR: Good and bad feedback from the public is vital for the police as it aids their strategies in combating online scams, says Bukit Aman.

Bukit Aman CCID deputy director Dept Comm Datuk Muhammed Hasbullah Ali said that he welcomes all feedback from the public, both positive and negative.

“This is good because all these will help us restructure our strategy to combat all these online scams and crimes,” he said during an online crime awareness walkabout at Mid Valley Megamall on Saturday . He added that with more awareness among the public, more would be willing to come forward to file reports.

“Those who lose small amounts like RM200 to RM300 tend not to make reports. But imagine the amount of losses if the scammers were to cheat 3,000 victims,” he said.
