PETALING JAYA: Malaysians going to the United Kingdom should wear a mask at all times when there, says Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

"Malaysians going to countries like the UK should not follow the UK’s lackadaisical attitude towards mask wearing. Mask up like you’re in Malaysia," said Khairy in a post on his Twitter account on Saturday .

He added that mask-wearing has become an additional issue after Malaysia started calling out rich countries for hoarding Covid-19 vaccines. "Now we need to call them out for their lackadaisical attitude towards wearing masks. Why is it so difficult for you to have mask mandates," said Khairy in another Twitter post.
