TORONTO - The City of Toronto says it will ensure all of its security contractors accommodate and rehire Sikh employees who were removed from their positions due to a conflict between their facial hair required by their religion and COVID-19 rules.
A statement from the city says that N95 masks are required in shelters were a COVID-19 outbreak is occurring.

Imagine losing your job because someone told you to shave your head and you said no.
Will these people be compensated for duress and stigmatization?
They weren’t just fired for having facial hair. They were terminated because the facial hair would prevent them from wearing masks. I guess the mask police didn’t think of that one and now it’s actually a charter right infringement. What a mess this is.
As they should. The Sikh community has a legitimate religious exemption. The City knows better smdh.
