Three people from Durham Region are making plans after some big lottery ticket wins. Theresa Holdsworth of Whitby, and Robin Lea of Oshawa are sharing $100,0

Theresa Holdsworth of Whitby, and Robin Lea of Oshawa are sharing $100,000 from an Instant Gold Pursuit scratch card. The lucky ticket was bought at Shoppers Drug Mart on Thickson Road in Whitby.“I had to sit down for a minute to compose myself,” said Lea, after receiving a call from Holdsworth. “I was shaking!”Holdsworth shared that she plans to pay off some bills and treat her children.

Lea intends to use some of her winnings for travel. “This is a great opportunity to experience some things on my bucket list,” she said. “It’s an unbelievable experience. Sharing it with my friend is so much more special and this will bond us forever,” said Holdsworth.“I didn’t think I was a winner but when I revealed the prize amount, I was shocked,” she said. “I quietly went out to my car to process what happened. I was shaking.”
