Durham police sent the warning to students at Pickering High School, Lincoln Alexander Public School, St. Francis de Sales Catholic School, Blaisdale Montessori School and Lincoln Avenue Public School. It was initially reported that three schools were affected.
A fourth and fifth school were added soon after. The man had reportedly been seen with a knife in the area of Church Street and Kingston Road. However, a search has turned up negative results
