Former Victorian opposition leader MatthewGuyMP says Victorian Premier DanielAndrewsMP’s contradictory claims on Prime Minister ScottMorrisonMP's offer of Australian Defence Force support would be “comical if it wasn’t so terrifying.”

Former Victorian opposition leader Matthew Guy says Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews’ contradictory claims on Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s offer of Australian Defence Force support would be “comical if it wasn’t so terrifying.” Mr Andrews on Tuesday said ADF assistance was not offered to Victoria to help in the management of the state's hotel quarantine.

Contrary to his claims, there is documentation suggesting ADF support was offered early on and was not accepted by Victoria. “The back side covering, as you saw today, is just too much for us to cop here in Melbourne given it’s destroying businesses and the mental health challenge is out of control,” Mr Guy told Sky News. “We are in a stage four lockdown, there is a curfew in this city. “Why we’re here is important. “It would be comical if it wasn’t so terrifying what is happening in Melbourne.

Australia among world's highest coronavirus death rates in aged care sector | Sky News AustraliaThe rate of coronavirus deaths in Australia's aged care sector now ranks among the highest in the world, with at least 218 lives lost so far.\n\nFederal agencies reportedly failed to prepare despite warnings from overseas the elderly were most vulnerable to the disease.\n\nThe Royal Commission into Australia's aged care crisis heard the government had not implemented specific COVID-19 plans for the sector.\n\nIn Sydney, the two main nursing home outbreaks during the first wave - in Newmarch House and Dorothy Henderson Lodge - had not been investigated by regulators. \n\nThe aged care sector makes up almost 70 per cent of Australia's deaths during the pandemic. \n\nDespite 138 deaths across Victorian facilities since July, the commission is not investigating that state's aged care outbreaks. \n\n Federal funding cuts to aged care is the cause. Victoria’s overreaction ‘caused in part by government’s humiliation’ | Sky News AustraliaIn some part, the overreaction observed in Victoria has come because the government “is so humiliated” by the bungling of its quarantine which allowed the virus to get a second run in the state says Sky News host Chris Kenny. \n\n“If we were wondering why Daniel Andrews has cracked down so hard in Victoria, why Melburnians are paying such a hard price, there are likely to be a range of factors that are ideological, personal and political,' Mr Kenny said. \n\nHowever, he said “there's every chance Victoria might be experiencing what the rest of us face some time down the track”. \n\n“The lesson we need to learn from Victoria is not about quarantine or contact tracing … the lesson we need to learn is that we must not - except in the most dire circumstances - overreact to outbreaks with a police state mentality”. \n\n'Because the brutal truth is that without a vaccine, it is an inescapable fact that outbreaks, illnesses and fatalities will happen, sooner or later'. \n\nImage:Getty \n Until Kenny starts attacking the ScottMorrisonMP govt with this much fervor on sportsrorts grassgate watergate Bushfirefunds Covidcabinet robotebt agedcare Mediaraids Rubyprincess Towkegate & the rest, nobody with an IQ that's hit double digits will take him seriously. The classic complete fuck up of an operation that would've been better performed by a penguin... How is trying to keep people alive an 'overreaction'? Please elaborate.

The world seems to be moving toward 'another clash of major powers' | Sky News AustraliaSky News contributor Catherine McGregor says Australia is facing its most dangerous era in 75 years as it seems to be moving inexorably towards 'another clash of major powers.”\n\nThe past week has marked some gruesome anniversaries.\n\nOn 4 August 1914 the First World War began with Great Britain's declaration of war on Germany. \n\nOn 6 August 1945 the United States detonated an atomic bomb above Hiroshima. \n\nThe bombing of Nagasaki took place on this day of the same year. \n\nMs McGregor said the Great War was supposed to be the war to end all wars, however recent disruptions to the global order indicate the world is likely heading toward another clash of powers.\n\n“Last week, former prime minister Kevin Rudd - in an article for Foreign Affairs magazine - expressed the fear that we may be perilously close to a 'hot war' between the United States and China,” she said. \n\nMs McGregor said Prime Minister Scott Morrison was less alarmist in his address to the Aspen forum in the US. \n\n“Yet he warned that the rules-based order upon which prosperity and stability in this region depends is fraying at the edges,” she said. \n Far out can’t we have a break from all this depressing shit 😣😣😣 Seeing that the Chinese now have the Darwin Port, they will also have the Melbourne Port, when Dan Andrews sign's up to the Belt&Road with China, that's his game shutting down Victoria now,so he can use China to borrow Billions of dollars, claiming it's to save the state, wake up Sky are so keen on a war.
