Despite the tough stance on lockdown restrictions, the state is looking for ways to reopen the hospitality industry in coming months. Gaming rooms could have every second machine switched off to ensure patrons adhere to safety measures.Queenslanders are getting a taste of freedom today after a number of lockdown restrictions were dropped at midnight due to the state recording no new cases yesterday and just eight cases in the last week.

People have been warned that despite the ease on lockdown, social distancing rules remain firmly in place and police will be out in force ensuring Queenslanders are acting responsibly.
