Victoria's premier Daniel Andrews says there will be no review of the state's current lockdown restrictions before May 11.

"This does not change our plan to review restrictions on May 11," a spokeswoman for the Premier said.

The Prime Minister did not put a target on the adoption he wanted within a week but said the greater the number, the safer the community would be if national cabinet moved to easing restrictions. Commonwealth Chief Medical Officer Brendan Murphy announced a significant expansion of "cohort testing" to check on the spread of the COVID-19 virus among those who might not display any symptoms.

"We have tested a lot of asymptomatic children in outbreaks in NSW – 800 were tested and one was positive. "There are very comprehensive proposals that have been put forward by a number of the codes and I know the states and territories will work through those."

Stay strong DANIEL!!

The virus is much more contagious here in Victoria

Thank you DanielAndrewsMP for keeping us safe. Don’t allow our inept federal government bully you into lifting the current state of emergency too soon.

What a nightmare for the PM to deal with Andrews. We are so over governed .

Andrews the pathetic leader . He is like a grandmother with no knowledge of science .

So glad Dan is making decisions and not the experts on Twitter. Thanks for keeping us safe, DanielAndrewsMP .

This dud is a power hungry egotistical maniac. Let’s all move states when the boarders reopen.

Victorian's aint earning an early mark. Okay.

DictatorDan fragile🤢

So Victoria is not part of Australia. Dan hitler thinks he knows better than many better qualified people. Maybe he thinks he’s Trump. Knows everything but actually knows stuff all

It’s depressing being in Victoria and seeing QLD, WA and NT trust their residents and support relaxing of restrictions, meanwhile, the Dictator in Victoria is getting a hard on having all this power. Out of touch and irresponsible. I will be visiting my mother on Mother’s Day.

Here's hoping we can push for eradication of coronavirus in Victoria!

Why does Morrison always look so smug? He has the expression of a high school bully in the middle of flushing someone's head in the toilet.

What Morrison said in early April ‘As part of the staggered approach to recovery, Morrison started talking on Tuesday about different states and territories emerging from beneath their restrictions at different rates.’

Victorians are Pleased with Andrews decision. He is working for the Benefit of All. Not just those minority of Loud Mouths who would be quite happy for the death toll to rise

Smirking little shit

Thanks Chairman DanielAndrewsMP arbitrary dates just before mothers days is true to form

Seems like the trolls are out or the RWNJ's

Andrews squeezing every bit of exposure out of a deadly crisis..........Its all about him.

Daniel ‘its very fragile in Victoria / its very different in Victoria’ Andrews. Also in Victoria, a total of 15 new cases in a week, none from community transmission 🤔 DictatorDan AlarmistDan PinocchioDan ChairmanDan DanielAndrewsMP JamesMerlinoMP rottentothecore

Of course not. He's not giving up his dictatorship without a fight. He's loved every second of this.

Of course he won’t. Chairman Dan is giddy with power. Everything he does is for the people. Just what Hitler said. Just what Stalin said. Just what Mao said.... the list goes on. Thankfully it seems to be falling apart though and more Victorians will see what a dick he is

Good

Victoria is not hosting the Hillsong conference so doesn't need to force the issue

Daniel Andrews is loving wielding his dictator-like powers far too much to consider bringing the date forward. He already seems bitterly frustrated by the low number of cases as it makes it hard for him to incite fear DictatorDan

Good I'm glad Daniel is going against smirko.

Go alone Ando again! What is in the water in Melbourne always need to be different

If we’re really good maybe Scooter will give use a cookie this month. What a dick! ‘Early mark’ 🤦‍♂️

Reasons people aren’t downloading COVIDSafe appMore than three million Australians have chosen to download the Government’s voluntary COVIDSafe contact tracing app, but with a goal of more than 10 million people, some still have their reservations. I will never DL the app as I don’t trust this or any government with my info. They have proven time and time again they can’t be trusted. Because there’s too many wack jobs that have no idea. When they say our data will be protected by yet to be passed legislation it's a bit concerning, you'd hope that could have been pushed through prior to the app's release
