Bridgette Leech and Matthew Selby got a very different wedding to the one they imagined.

Melissa Soncini, a marriage celebrant based in Sydney, said she has had 23 couples postpone their plans in the last week "which pretty much wipes out other next three or four months of weddings". Stuart Roberts and his fiance Fie Fie Tjioe are getting married at the Northern Life Church in Hornsby this Saturday without the 160 guests they had invited.Just days out from their wedding at Northern Life Baptist Church on Saturday, Stuart Roberts and his fiance Fie Fie Tjioe had to cull their guest list from 160 invited to just five.

"My fiance is particularly devastated. She'd been looking forward to the big day. She's particularly hard hit. I think I'll organise a big celebration that everyone can come to once this mess is over."Sydney couple Strato Varipatis and Kate Kalergis cancelled their plans for a big wedding on the Greek island of Kythera on July 14. Mr Varipatis proposed on the island earlier this year, but the wedding will now be held in Sydney next year.

"I feel quite overwhelmed. You want to be excited before your wedding, but we don't want to get too excited in case something else is announced and we can't get married.
