An alien super-world 110 light years away from us is the first outside our solar system to have conditions that are potentially suitable to host life, astronomers say.

What is the habitable zone? Is it different for different stars? And why does it matter in the search for ET?It could either be a rocky planet with an extended atmosphere or an icy planet with a high concentration of water in its interior.Sitting in its solar system's habitable region, aka theTo look at the planet's atmosphere, Dr Tsiaras and his colleagues analysed data taken by the Hubble Space Telescope as the planet passed in front of its sun.

Other elements such as nitrogen and methane may also be present, the astronomers said, although they were not detected.Astronomer Jonti Horner of the University of Southern Queensland said the discovery was the first step towards finding smaller Earth-like planets capable of supporting life.

Japan may dump radioactive water into seaTokyo Electric, or Tepco, has collected more than 1 million tonnes of contaminated water from the cooling pipes used to keep fuel cores from melting since the plant was crippled by an earthquake and tsunami in 2011. Do you want Godzilla? This is how you get Godzilla. What exactly do you mean 'may dump'? Not an issue, but makes a good scaremongering story. There's been hundreds of nuclear tests conducted across the Pacific, the release of water is minuscule in comparison.
