A tradesman is recovering from a terrifying ordeal where he was forced to jump from a burning jetty to save his life. 9News

"If it wasn't for the officer's actions he could have been in a lot of trouble. I think he could have very easily been hurt and he could have been killed," he added.

"Within about five minutes the whole things was on fire so it was pretty crazy," witness Scott Barber said.The new structure includes a unique circular section aimed at attracting tourists and anglers to the town.
