Infected Victorians are waiting up to nine days to get their COVID-19 test results back with the delays hurting the staffing of local businesses and further risking the spread of the virus. Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell said Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews needed to explain why tests were being delayed after the state recorded another 532 cases of COVID-19 and six more deaths.

“We know the army has gone in in last couple of days, after an initial reluctance to accommodate them by the Andrews government, to help with contact tracing but the question is, is it too late?” A small business owner in the town of Colac wrote to local state MP Richard Riordan speaking of their experience with COVID-19 tests in the area. “I am the owner of a small business of 5 workers in Colac," the email read.
