Deputy Chief Medical Officer Nick Coatsworth said while the chance of young Australians developing a severe case of COVID-19 is low it certainly isn’t zero.

“The message for young Australians of course is whilst your chance of getting severe COVID-19 is less, it is clearly not zero,” Mr Coatsworth told Sky News. “There are young people in Australia now and around the world that have become severely affected from COVID-19 and there have been fatalities. “None of us are immune, all of us need to play our part, and doing so we’ll get control of COVID-19.
