Victorian 17-year-old Jake Fraser-McGurk gives a glimpse of his potential with a half-century on debut in a Sheffield Shield match against Queensland.

Teenager Jake Fraser-McGurk has quickly shown why Victoria made him the third-youngest player in its Sheffield Shield history with a spectacular half-century on debut.Fraser-McGurk is the youngest Victorian debutant since Cameron White in 2001

Fraser-McGurk hit three fours and a six as he shared in a 104-run stand with captain Peter Handscomb that gave Victoria the lead. "I was pretty nervous when Finchy got out, but it was good to bat with Pete out there. He calmed me down quite a bit," Fraser-McGurk said."Kids dream of playing on the MCG but I just had to put that to one side and get down to business."

Victoria was 3-88 in reply to Queensland's first-innings total of 183 when Fraser-McGurk and Handscomb came together before lunch.
